Good understanding of IT environment including: Desktop and server environment DNS/WINS/DHCP
Working knowledge of the OSI 7 layer model
High level understanding of LAN and WAN technologies including: TCP/IP Router (Core ) /switches (L2 & L3 ) and Firewall/IDS /IPS configuration (Level =E2=80"EXPERT ) Network design and implementation Frame Relay, IPWAN, DSL and MPLS technology
Experience in use of Network Management Systems such as HP Openview
High level understanding of Nortel contivity / Cisco PIX or ASA or Checkpoint Firewall
Moderate UNIX shell skills
Voice over IP (IPCC or CCM ) preferred
Skills Mandatory
5-8 years experience in LAN and WAN support and configuration5-8 years experience with telecommunications carrier services
3-5 years firewall support and configuration and experience of participation in security review and analysis3-5 years experience with network management tools
3-5 years experience in Voice Technology for Voice Delivery Lead position3-5 years of project Management and execution skills (Preferred )
