Higher-End Home FW Question

It's a technology for home users. It decentralises email storage, leading to backup issues among other things. Also allows viruses to hit the end users box before being stopped. This basically required the end user to be aware of whether their AV prog is working properly or not. Much better to use central filtering, updating and access policies. You can reject the SMTP connection and stop the email from ever being delivered, rather than filter it after it's been delivered. E.

By default it also sends userids and passwords in the clear, something which isnt clever when it comes to the roaming wifi user.
