The only hash table I can think of related to ethernet is used for multicast address recognition. You should be more specific as to what you are looking for.

I am really new on ethernet. I just heard that our design will have two hash table for VLAN and DA. But I do not know the details on them.

There is a discussion of the use and implementation of hash tables for Ethernet addresses in Chapter 2 of "The Switch Book," available at:
