Intel Network card not wortking with all switches?

I changed the driver "Link Speed & Duplex" properties from Auto Detect to 100Mbps/Full Duplex. Now the NEATGEAR and DLINK switch WORKS with the net. adapter.

Anyone know if this can be fixed somehow? Or if this is a known issue with some cards and switches? I dont want to manually change the speed settings when connection to a different network since my customers probably will find it "a low quality product". The network does not work outside windows (like PXE boot).

Any ideas and information about this is very appreciated.

Do you have _two_ Intel NICs that don't work ?

Hit the Intel support web site and soo if there are any known issues with your cards. You an also look at Netgear and D-Link support sites but I have no great expectations as to what you'll find.

Have you used google and google groups for "NETGEAR DLINK" or something like that to see if anyone else is having the problem ?

Try going into driver properties for your NIC and nailing the autonegotiate to 10Mb half duplex. See what happens.
