I've got a few C4912g's in the field as fiber aggregators, and would like to see rx light level on ZX and CWDM GBICs; something like the "show interfaces transciever" with GBIC support would be nice, either in IOS or CatOS.
If unsupported on 4912g, does anyone have a recommendation for good hardware?
I have never used any of this but the following may be what you are looking for.

Thanks for the link; the matrix mentions the 3750G-12-S but not the
3550-12G at all; I wonder if that's omission, or planned obsolecense. It seems hard to believe that the feature could be added to a 4503 but not a 3550, considering the relative ages of the two platforms.Have something to add? Share your thoughts — no account required.
