As a user you can't. Your system admin sets that in the configuration of the device you are VPN'ing to.

What type of device is terminating the VPN sessions?

Hi,

The VPN client would be connecting to a device (VPN server- such as a Cisco router/Cisco concentrator or a firewall). The password for user accounts could be on the VPN server device itself or it could be on the Radius/Tacacs server or the AD etc...You need to checkup on the VPN-Server where is it configured to look for user accounts.

I hope this helps.
