unsupported wic cards

i recently bought two wic-1enet's on ebay. i can't get any of my routers to recognize them. i've tried them in a 2621, two different

1751's and a 3645. i can't find anywhere on the cisco sight what the minium ios required is. i've tried 12.0 and 12.3 w/ no sucess. does anyone know what version of code is required to recognize them. is there maybe a minimum boot rom required as well as an ios level?

Looks like the WIC-1ENET is only supported on the 1700:

The 1751 is going to be the only one they will work in, the 17xx platform is the only one to support the WIC-1ENET.

You need to be running 12.2(2)XJ or later on the 1751 to fullly support it in all slots. I couldn't find what rev supports it in slot0, which used to be the only slot it worked in.
