Just a quick question...
I'm trying to use the inbuilt tftp-server on my cisco router, and I'm currently having some issues. Reading files from the tftp-server works fine, but I cannot write anything back. The file already exists on the router, but all write attempts throw an "error 2: Access denied:" error.
I read someone in a very old thread (1996) that the onboard tftp server didnt permit write operations, is this still the case?

What router? What is the config-register setting? For instance, flash on 2500 series is NOT writable by default unless booted into bootrom... HTH Cheers Alex
Its a 3725 running IOS version 12.3
Try to delete file from router flash and TFTP-write it back again (unless this is active IOS image!). Flash should be writable on 3725 by default. HTH Cheers Alex
