Setting up VPN from Windows XP to a Cisco router

I'm trying to set up a Cisco 877 router to function as a VPN server forour network so that people can connect using the VPN client built intoWindows XP.I've tried following the directions at I can connect from a Windows XP machine, but I can't reach anythingon the internal network: I can ping the WAN address of the router, butnot the LAN address, and not any of the servers behind the router. Isthere something I didn't set up properly?If I'm asking stupid questions here, and the answer should be obviousto any sysadmin, there's a good reason: I'm not a sysadmin. I'm aprogrammer who knows more about networking than anyone else in thebuilding.

Do you have a Cisco support contract for your Cisco 877 ?

Try upgrading the IOS version to 12.3(14)YT1

Try changing the address pool from 192.168.1.1 to 172.16.1.1

no ip local pool WINVPN 192.168.16.1 192.168.16.254 ip local pool WINVPN 172.16.1.1 172.16.1.254
