PIX as a Filter

Feb 16, 2005 0 Replies

I have posted this question before but the requirements has grown so need additional help.

We have hosts on one side of a PIX (Pix A) that must be able to see servers on the other side of another PIX (Pix B), but the hosts on each side must be in the same subnet (10.15.0.0./24) and must be addressed by their real IP's

The PIX's are directly conncted on their outside interfaces.

The problem is that the machines on both sides of the PIX's can ONLY address machine in the 10.15.0.0/24 range and this cannot change as it is set in the software running.

i.e Hosts (10.15.0.10, 10.15.0.20) ---- PIX A ---- PIX B --- Host (10.15.0.254)

10.15.0.10 shoud be able to see 10.15.0.254 and vica versa
10.15.0.20 should NOT be able to see 10.15.0.254

I considered some kind of tunnel or ARP on Pix B ???

Any suggestions Gary
