I was trying to configure a new PPTP configuration on our pix 515e and saw that cannot use vpdn commands...have them gone since release 6.3?
or is it possible to use PPTP with PIX ver 7.1?

Yes.
PPTP is a bad idea, but L2TP came back with 7.2 and higher.
