OSPF behind a PIX

Hi,

a have a 2621 as router for some subnets behind a PIX515. Now i am thinking about getting a second link to the internet from a different provider as a backup (with a second router). Does this first Router (the default) have any chance to see if the default internet connection goes down ? I know that the PIX dont supports any routing protocols like RIP or OSPF. So i have a problem to use a routing protocol to switch the default route to the big bad net if one of the links goes down. It would be good, if someone could point me to the right direction ....

regards kermit

the pix supports rip & ospf. anyway, usually you will point with a static default route to the internet. until the external link is physically down the pix will forward the packets.

bye andre
