Mode Switch on 1242AG

Oct 25, 2006 1 Replies

Just purchased 1242Ag and was surprided to find a "mode Switch" on the front of the access point. I check Cisco website and found nothing in the documentation. anyone know hat this switch is for. I configured the unit as a point to point bridge and everything seems to be working fine so far. It just annoys me that I can't figure out what this button is for.

Any Ideas on know where I can find the documentation?

Search for it under recovery. Thats what it's used for on other AP's. If the image gets hosed you hold the mode button while booting and it looks for a TFTP server at a specific IP using a specific file name.
