IOS upgrade confusion

Jan 29, 2007 3 Replies

Morning all. I need to upgrade a Cat 3550 due to a found vulnerability in the current IOS version. The current version is 12.2(25)SEC2 - IP-BASE-Crypto. The recomended version is 12.2(25)SEE2. Looking at the upgrade planner, there isn't an ip base with crypto, BUT there is ip base, ip base w/o crypto, smi and emi both with crypto, and plain smi and emi. Can someone suggest which version I should get? I want to keep the same features that is in the current version. Here is a link to the page in question :

What is "the current version" anyway?

If it is the ipbase with crypto, then get:

c3550-ipbasek9-mz.12.2-25.SEE2.bin or the tar equivalent

The k9 implies crypto.

Exactly what I needed!!

Thanks very much Lovejoy
