How to get Cisco Bridge MIB information using snmp v3

Dec 13, 2007 0 Replies

Hi,

On cisco 3750 switch, as BRIDGE MIB is indexed on the vlan id, I am able to get all the entries on all vlans, when I do query with SNMP v1 & v2c. As mentioed in the Cisco documentation, v1 & v2c queries were done by appending vlan number to the community string.

But I am unable to do the queries using SNMP v3. Is anyone aware of how to get using v3.

I also came to know that the vlan numbers should be sent as "contexts" in v3. Is this correct?? If so, how do we create contexts for the vlan.

Thanking you in advance, Anu
