G703 Problem between Cisco VWIC-2MFT-G703 and Ericsson Minilink

Hi everybody,

This problem made me so confused. There are 14 stations connected (point to point) via Ericsson Minilink microwave systems. Minilink system provides n X 2Mbps channels with G.703 Interface. It seems that this should be the standard G.703 as the specifications given in Ericsson web site is:

Traffic interface: ITU-T Rec G.703 balanced or unbalanced Channel code: Screambling, and FEC Alarm interface: RS232C (V.24) Serial intreface

The current installed system has got 2 X 2Mbps and the 1st 2Mbps is used for Telecommunication purposes and we wanna to use the second

2Mbps channel for building a data network (TCP/IP). I used VWIC-2MFT-G703 Modules in Cisco 1721 to connect to the G703 Interface of the minilink. but unfortunately the link never goes up or goes up and down and there are lots of all kinds of line errors and violations on the line and also AIS is received from remote side. Here is a brief debug on the cisco. By the way, I tried all possible settings and configurations on the E1 Controllers without any satisfying result.

Your help in any kind, would be appreciated indeed.

Best Wishes N=2ER. Neshat BSc, CCNP, CCNA, Network+
