Cisco CSM : session maintainance and log files

Hello All,



My name is Sunil Chandran. i am new to this forum. we are planning to go for Cisco CSM for our project as a Server Load Balancer.please help me in knowing how Cisco CSM maintain session. i have two real servers. i want my request to be routed to the correct server and all subsequent request from me to the same server. Cisco CSM provide persistence capabilities. but i am unsure how they maintain my session during my communication with a server. Also i want to know whether Cisco CSM maintain any log info regarding this.



please help me in these topics.

Cisco server load balancers use a concept known as sticky to keep a session on the same server.

Some sticky methods include directing sessions from the same originating host to the same real server based on a portion of the source IP address, a cookie inserted into a http request by the SLB device, or various other methods. The length of a sticky can also be modified with the default on the model I referenced being set to 1440 minutes (24 hours).
