Cisco 851 reset baud rate

Jun 01, 2007 1 Replies

Does anybody know how to reset the baud rate on a Cisco 851? I've done jumper-resets on 2600s before, but I can't find any documentation for the 851.

When I console in, the "=E2=82=AC" symbol runs across the screen.

I'm sure my computer settings and cables are good because I can console into other Cisco routers just fine.

Thanks, hack.bac

You'd have to go back a bit further than the 2600 for a jumper change...

Just try each of the baud rates until you find the one it is. Then break and 'confreg' and change it back to the default.
