Cisco 836 and NTP

Dec 26, 2005 3 Replies

Hello,

I have a Cisco 836 ADSL router and wanted to configure it's clock to be synchronized with an NTP server but unfortunately on my Cisco 836 there are no "ntp server" command.

Has this command maybe changed name ? Or doesn't the Cisco 836 have NTP implemented ?

Many thanks Regards

Try 'sntp server'; I seem to remember the 800 series only supports the SNTP subset of the NTP protocol.

Regards,

Marco.

Thanks, that was it !

Yes and No.

SNTP client is always available. For NTP you'll need a PLUS image.
