Cisco 500 CS problem

Guys, This 500 cs is killing me. ports 1-8 are fine...ports 9 - 16 i can see the output once I am reverse telnet but nothing happens when i type. I have read all the message boards and some say to have no exec while others say enable it. It make no difference in this case as I have tried it both ways. Is it possible I have a bad set of ports. I have taken the case off etc but to no avail Please help. I have attached the config below

If you connect line 9 to where line 2 is currently connected, does the problem follow ?

Yes, the problem seems to be with the ports 9 - 16. The weird part is I can see the output. I even changed cables connected to the port on diff. devices.

It is quite possible that port 9-16 are supported by a different set of interface electronics. The transmit side may be faulty.
