cisco 3500 series XL

No. 3500XL switches are Layer2 switches. The only IP interface available on these switches is "management interface", and you cannot route data through it. You must have a router or another Layer3 switch to do routing between VLANs. Theoretically you may use Windows PC or server with 2 NICs to do routing between VLANs, however it's different story.

ok,

if i use 3550 switch ?

i can have 1 SMI and 1 EMI switch

what's differnce between SMI and EMI concerning routage ? i use static route

Both is ok with static routes. EMI has also routing protocols (OSPF).

Catalyst 3550 is Layer3 switch. EMI (Enterprise version) has some extra features, but basically they are the same. With 3550 you can create multiple VLAN IP interfaces, and route between them.

Good luck,
