Cisco 2610 Defaults

May 19, 2006 3 Replies

Hey,

I have recently taken over a network for a large company. The problem is that the IT guy who was here is long gone, and didnt take any notes.

They are using a Cisco 2610 router, but I cant get the IP address or even probably the login/password.

Is there any way of getting this information somehow, at least the address of it so I can try getting in?!?! ANY HELP would really be appreciated, without it im screwed!!

Left in the dark.......

Thanks!

If I use the console port will it still ask me for the login and password??

That being the case, you will need to execute the password recovery procedure from the console.

see Cisco doc "Password Recovery Procedure for the Cisco 2600 Series Routers"
