Cisco 1720 frame relay to Motorola HELP!

I'm ABSOLUTLEY STUMPED!!! I desperately need help. I have a frame relay line going from out main office "Denver" to a remote site "Baltimore"

My Cisco 1720 interfaces all show UP/UP status and shows LMI, but from its console I can't ping the Serial0.1 interface (192.168.253.250)

On the Motorola, the config looks good and from its console I can ping its Serial (192.168.253.249) and it sees the circuit and everything looks good. It CAN'T see 192.168.253.250 though.

Whats wrong? I spent about an hour yesterday on the phone with Motorola and everything looks good on that end. And as far as I know, the Cisco looks right. Am I missing something? I'm not at the remote (Baltimore) site, but I can VPN in and see the router. Is there something physical that could be causing this? (bad cable, etc) Or is it a config thing? I've confirmed the DLCI and timeslots. I'm getting A LOT of heat to get this fixed and I'm out of ideas!!!

Have you tried to change LMI type? post 'debug frame lmi' output...

Also, you may have FR encapsulation mismatch... Is FR encapsulation equal to the both DTE's in your FR network? Also, is the link flapping? (up/down line protocol status changing couple of times) ? I see a lot of interface errors comparing to the fact that there is no "real" application traffic passing trough your serial interface since FR isn't working...Also, I noticed that you don't get LMI stat recvd for each LMI enq sent... But I don't suspect your line quality since if it is the case then you would had partial succes for your ping... Of course, IP config is ok for both sides?:)

Try above changes and let mi know the results...

Thats it. I rebooted yesterday afternoon and the lmi #'s look like this now:

The motorola on the other side of the circuit is 192.168.253.249 and can ping itself.

I'm still not convinced that theres not something wrong with the Motorola to Cisco connection. The Motorola is an old Vanguard running

5.3 software. I've got another Vanguard here that if I could get it configured, I'd send it out to Baltimore to check, but I can't even get to a console on the dang thing, anybody know what emulation Motorola uses?
