Cisco 1240AG Access Point

Jul 27, 2007 2 Replies

Any body know if this access point will work (how far the range will cover) without the optional external antenna? Does this device already have some built in antenna already? and is the optional external antenna just for extending range coverage?

Thanks.

No built in antennas in the 1240, just RP-TNC terminals. To use it for any wireless application, you will need to add at least 1 external antennas.

If you want something like a 1240 but with internal antennas, check out the 1130.
