I have a Cisco Telephony system with cisco gateways with ISDN PRI interfaces and callmanager receiving the calls via H.323, which are then routed to Cisco IP Phones.
I would like to use better my voip system by providing more information of the call to my users. I would like to give them information about who is calling them. I mean that not only it will show the caller id number but also the customer number. This would be a mini-crm where I would map the caller id to a customer contact db and then send it to the cisco ip phones.
I have read a lot about CTI interface and TAPI but I still do not believe that there is no simpler way to do it. Any idea about implementing this feature using Cisco Callmanager only?
