All,
I'm having a problem with a server of mine.
It's a Linux server that periodically checks to see if it can bring up its ethernet interface. It waits 3 seconds and then checks to see if a link was detected. Regardless of the outcome, it brings the network interface back down. The server and the switch are both set to autonegotiate.
I cannot change the above process, so I was wondering if there are any configuration parameters that I can tune to increase the speed of the autonegotiation process.
The ethernet switch in question is a Cisco 5500.
Many thanks for any suggestions
