ADSL on a Cisco 837

Hi

I have a Cisco 837 router and a couple of IOS's. I'm currently using c837-k9o3sy6-mz.123-14.T3 and have not tried the others yet. Could any one give me information on what the difference is between the IOS's?

I have: c837-k9o3sy6-mz.123-14.T3.bin c837-k9o3y6-mz.123-8.T9.bin c837-k9o3y6-mz.123-8.T11.bin

Thanx

....3sy6... has more features - BGP for example. It is the "IP/Firewall/PLUS 3DES" feature set.

The other two ...3y6.. are the "not plus" feature set. i.e. "IP/Firewall 3DES"

Higher suffix numbers are later releases.

## Latest ##

There used to be a document on CCO that explained the naming convention but I can't find it at the moment.

Perhaps this is because with 12.4 the magic codes have been largely eliminated.

k9 - Crypto? maybe firewall? o3 - ? y6 - ? s - plus

-m - Run from RAM -##- alternatively -l run from flash. z - Compressed
