3G / GPRS Radius Server

Jun 24, 2005 1 Replies

Hi folks,

I am about to have a private 3G / GPRS network installed with private APN. I currently use cisco ACS as a radius server for authentication and DHCP.

I now need a device that can handle multiple VPN's, radius and DHCP via Radius. All accounting information needs to logged.

I thought maybe a PIX 515 (IOS 7) with the 3G Security add-on would do the job, does anyone know if the PIX 515 has the same capability as an ACS server. ie the radius server has the ability to add external AAA servers, I need that to connect to the GGSN's which the 3G/GPRS devices connect to.

cheers Dave

I have noticed the PIX 501 has the ability to add external AAA servers but it does not have the ability to add remote access users (the 3G / GPRS devices).

Can the 515 contain remote access users. (not the L2TP windows users)

cheers Dave
