A practice exam says telnet, ssh, console port are ways to get to configuration mode on a terminal. It also claims a console server is a way. To me, a console server is only a tool for getting to a console port, so should not be a correct answer. However, when taking a test, what counts is what CISCO thinks, does anybody know whether Cisco would consider the access server to be that?

A console server is an AS router with serial ports that you use to connect out of band to various equipments. Look for reverse telnet as a guide
