How to Pass CCNA Exam - FAQ

Jan 03, 2006 1 Replies

Hi, Recent College grad with a comp science degree - wanting to get a CCNA cert. couple of questions

1) With no Cisco experience can you pass this exam?
2) How long and how much do you have to study to pass the exam? Is a month a good time to pass this exam? (Studying on my own and from video trainers and cisco simulators)

Hi,

1) You can pass without experience so long as you study and understand the topics at hand as well as use simulation software - saying that I certainly believe you will understand the topics better if you have at least some PC/Networking exposure/experience.

2) The length of time purely depends on how quick you understand the CCNA topics and objectives. You can test your knowledge using simulation exams and based on that decide when the right time is for you to take the exam. Bear in mind that the exam requires an 85% passing rate so few mistakes are permitted!
