it is reccomended that you attain CCNA before moving to voip stuff, it isnt required though i dont think. Although if you dont know much abour routing and switching and networking basics (TCP/IP etc.) then CCNA is always good

hi all,
have telco background and been working in tech support / helpesks last few years and would like to move on and get acquainted with some voip stuff in the near future...
after a little browsing i've noticed a cisco certification course CVOICE, which apparently is taken post CCNA.
local training cert schools recommended either taking a combo INTRO exam then ICND exam path
or
just the CCNA-801 exam to attain the CCNA.
can someone shed some light on this and confrim if this is best way to get to a CVOICE cert?
any help greatly appreciated
