Hello all,
I've recently came into posession of a Catalysis 5000 switch. It has Supervisor III along with 3 24 port 10/100 modules and 2 power supplies. Could this switch qualify as a decent switch to use in CCNP self study lab? Thanks

Jumping on the back of this thread, I want to set up a CCNA lab but also would like it to carry me through my CCNP too, what is the desired kit for a lab of this set-up

As they are only doing ios and not cat os, it is only usefull for understanding the basic of the networking principles.
For ccnp i would recomamand a 3550 or 3750 with two 2950 series and a couple of access routers like 2801, 2600xm 's or so.
