cisco 837 telnet

Jul 26, 2005 1 Replies

I've one public IP addresss allocated to me by my ISP.

I configured my router using CRWS in the first instance, and dhcp nat runs on the inside.

I am unable to telnet to the external IP address, either from home or at work.

Can someone help ?

Cheers

You may check if an "access-class in" is applied on the "line vty 0 4"? This kind of ACL prevents inbound telnet connections onto the router.
