OSPF Question

Hi I was wondering What type of router cannot exist within a stub area - ABR or ASBR ? I excluded ASBR due to ASBR can exist within a NSSA area, which is kind of stub area. Is I'm correct ?

Hi Robert

It is the other way around. All area's must have a link to the backbone so a stub area must have an ABR.

Although an NSSA can have an ASBR a proper stub network can't.

Hint NSSA = Not so stubby.
