I'm adding a wall-mount telephone jack (one of those which puts RJ11, RJ45 and CATV on the same wall plate). On the RJ11 jack it is labelled with the following colors (left to right):
white/green white/orange blue white/blue orange green
but where the service comes in is just the 4-wire (black, green, red, yellow) telephone wire. Which cat5 wire get connected to which old-style telephone wire?
this will be used for plain old telephone service
