setup a wireless bridge

How do you set up a wireless bridge between two routers form different mfgs? So, if I have a Belkin in my office (with my cable modem plugged in) and a Linksys in the basement, and I want to plug desktops into the Linksys and still access the Internet, what do I do?

You don't. The only way two routers can talk to each other is using WDS (wireless distribution service). Either or both of your routers might have the necessary WDS feature, but unless they have identical chipsets (from the same manufactory), chances are high that they will not talk to each other. If, by some miraculous coincidence, your unspecified Linksys router is a WRT54G, then it supports WDS. No clue on your unspecified model Belkin.
