Metro WiFi (aka Google WiFi)

So anyone on here have any experience hooking up to Google's Wifi network in Mountain View. There are a few companies out there that are pushing 'WiFi' modem products which supposedly allow reasonable connections indoors by addressing the NLOS issue with higher xmit power (200-400mW) and fancy phased array antennas which dynamically optimize reception to deal with multi-path fading issues. Google recommends the Ruckus Metroflex and Peplink Surf devices. Anyone else have experience with these types of networks? I wonder if it is really worth it set something reliable up vs go get cable or DSL.
