my serial interface is "reset" - ??? hehe

sigh, I really dont know what is going on , lol

I have a point to point 2600 circuit that now is showing a "reset" on serial1/1 - I have never seen this before?

here is a show int serial1/1 - anyone point me at what I should be trying to do next to work this out? thanks

In my experiance "Line Protocol Down" 90% of the time is a Layer 1 issue.

What model router do you have?

Depending on your version, can you type the following commands at the prompt and display them here as well?

"Show Run Interface Serial0/0"

"Show ip interface brief"

Typically a reset interface means you have an alarm or som other error on on your T1 controller, so 'show controller T1 1/1' is the place to start then lookp T1 alarm troubleshooting on CCO.

bloody hell

it turned out to be a bad WIC card on the other end of the ptp circuit in the other cisco router (2851) that was causing the reset state on this end
