DSLAM with voice gateway

Please dont take this the wrong way, but why are they hiring you? Seems odd a consultant would come to an end users DSL forum asking for such a product.

Call the DSLAM vendors and ask them. I would also recommend researching on the VoIP deployments currently being offered.

is a good place to start. ATT is also offering VoIP.

Good luck.

Hello Group,

Does anyone know of a product which provide a device combining VoIP and DSLAM ?

I'm working for an alternative operator who whishes to offer service to traditional voice users without the need of an extra telephony adapter at customer premises.

The device should handle voice calls as a standard PBX, but should then use VoIP (instead of TDM) to transport the calls. It should also handle standard ADSL data traffic on the side.

Does this "magic" device exist in other places than in my dreams ?

Thanks in advance for any information,

You may want to look at the Pannaway Technologies

Access Switch (BAS) with the Personal Branch Gateway (PBG).

The BAS replaces a DSLAM, DLC, and ATM to IP gateway all in one.

The PBG is an integrated premise switch/router with two independent digitized voice lines and lifeline support (unlike vonage) over ADSL2+.

Cool stuff.

Try the UMUX 1500 from KEYMILE:

  • Gigabit Ethernet Ethernet over SDH Leased Lines (E1, SHDSL, fiber, etc.)

They have an office in Paris as well.
