I have a Wireless LAN at home - secured and works fine except when our next door neighbour goes online!! - I have connected to his router and changed channels - no change - its a pain in the neck and only rebooting our router seems to help - any ideas on interference

You could try to see if there is new firmware for your router. Or try to move your router to a different place.
