I am trying to bring up the Netgear WGT624 router connected to a Westell
6100 C90-6100-15-06 Modem supplied by Verizon. Verizon has been deliberately unhelpful in this endeavor.I am located in Michigan and believe that the phone system now called Verizon is the old GTE phone system.
Has anyone done this?
If so what do I need to do to the modem's default configuration and the Netgear's default configuration?

PPPoE? If so, configure the Westell 6100 as a bridge:
Then configure the Netgear WGT624 for PPPoE with your username and password.
