Westell 6100/Netgear WGT 624

I am trying to bring up the Netgear WGT624 router connected to a Westell

6100 C90-6100-15-06 Modem supplied by Verizon. Verizon has been deliberately unhelpful in this endeavor.

I am located in Michigan and believe that the phone system now called Verizon is the old GTE phone system.

Has anyone done this?

If so what do I need to do to the modem's default configuration and the Netgear's default configuration?

PPPoE? If so, configure the Westell 6100 as a bridge:

Then configure the Netgear WGT624 for PPPoE with your username and password.
