Range of D-Link Router

I have A D-Link DI-624 802.11g AirPlus Xtreme G 108 Mbps Wireless Router that has a range of only 40 feet. If I take my laptop beyond that range, I connect to my neighbor's network. How can I stay on my own network at least in my house?

  1. Use a small directional antenna at the wireless access point and direct the pattern toward the desired area of coverage.

  1. Add a second wireless access point in the area of weak signal.

  2. use a repeater between the weak area and your existing wireless access point.

It seems like almost everyone that has installed a wireless LAN in there home / office / apartment is not real satisfied with the range (or lack thereof). That low power signal just don't carry thru walls and floors very well.
