Linksys WRE54G version 1 Range Extender difference from ver 2
I have a version 1 firmware of this range extender. There is a new version with a version 2 firmware out. Anyone know the difference between version 1 and 2?
This is the HW firmware that cannot be changed.

I have the same Range EXPANDER, Patty. Version 1. I had to upgrade its firmware to 1.0.6 September 30 2005, before it would work with my WRT54G v5 router.
One difference I am sure of is that Version 2 has an Ethernet port for configuration access, while Version 1 has no port and must be configured wirelessly.
Definitely the Version 1 firmware CAN and SHOULD be upgraded!
