Linksys WAP11 hardware versions

Anyone know or know where to find what the hardware and performance differences are between the Linksys WAP11 hardware versions 2.2 vs. 2.6 vs. 2.8?

WAP11 versions are all different. I'm doing this from memory plus Google so beware of wrong or incomplete info:

version 1.0 and 1.1 were an Atmel AT76C510 chipset based board. 1.0 sucked big time and would lockup randomly no matter what firmware was used. 1.1 sorta worked better. Has USB configuration port. v1.1 FCCID O7J-GL2411AP

'O7JGL2411AP' version 2.2 was based on the Texas Instruments ACX100 chipset. A major improvment. V2.2 is sufficiently similar to the Dlink DWL-900AP+ that the firmware is interchangeable. USB config port removed. v2.2 FCCID O7J-GL2422AP

version 2.6 ?????

version 2.8 switched to ADMtek ADM8628 chips and RF2958 radio.

The FCC ID Type certification test results will have accurate performance data. I don't have FCC ID numbers for version 2.6 or 2.8.
