Hotel AP logon software ??

Feb 11, 2008 3 Replies

Hi All,

Does anyone have a suggestion for security software to handle customers logging into a hotel's wireless network?

I was thinking it might only need to have the front desk hand out a (wpa2) pass phrase and changing the pass phrase every week or so. (It can't be that easy.)

I have seen some hotels were you have to log into a special piece of software before accessing anything. Found that annoying, as I has to clear cache when I got back top the world, as everything still wanted to go through that hotel's stinknin' web page.

Any comments will be greatly appreciated!

It isn't. There will be many guests without the ability to do WPA.

That's nonetheless the best way. Hotspot routers tend to include this as a standard feature.

Do you have a favorite?
