Someone asked here if Clearwire ever went on the air in Abilene.
They introduced the service Thursday December 9. I signed up right away. It's phenomenal!
They offer 768 kbps at $25 and 1.5 mbps at $35. The modem is an additional $5.
A caveat: an illustration at Clearwire.com shows networking through a switch. It requires a router not a switch.
What kind of upload speed do you get, and is it a limiting factor?
I get about 210kbps upload even though I'm supposed to get 256. It doesn't matter to me at all. Especially I shouldn't complain since I download at 1.5mbps instead of the
