Be Advised: VPN providers offer, at best, varying levels of *pseudo-anonymity* only!

Connect to your VPN. Download Tor Browser

Install to a unique directory or usb stick. Start your newly installed Tor Browser.

// Configure Tor Browser (Firefox) to run standalone without Tor Upper right hand side of Tor Browser click on the three horizontal bars. Click on Options. Select the Advanced tab. Click on Settings. Select "No proxy". Click OK. Click OK.

Type about:config into the URL bar and hit Enter. Hit Enter again to bypass the warning.

Type socks*dns into the Search bar and hit Enter. Right click on network.proxy.socks_remote_dns and select Toggle to change it from True to False.

Type launch*tor into the search bar and hit Enter. Right click on extensions.torlauncher.start_tor and select Toggle to change it from True to False.

into the URL bar and hit Enter. Webpage should say "Sorry. You are not using Tor" and display your VPN's IP.

Note that upon closing/restarting your newly configured VPN browser, Tor no longer automatically starts as well.

socks*dns and launch*tor don't work in my Firefox. How to get around this?
