Is anybody actually using "VPN-pass-through" (L2TP or PPTP) through a Linksys WRT54G (on the client end)?
If so, how? Linksys' firmware or third-party?
I know Linksys *claims* to support VPN pass-through, but I haven't been able to make it work. I get error 721 (hanging while authenticating).
Actually, I don't know that my WRT54G is at fault at all. I have the same problem when I connect my PC directly to the DSL modem. Maybe my DSL provider has started blocking ports. Similar things have happened to other VPN users!
Mystery solved. My university started blocking PPTP traffic to my departmental subnet.
