Cell / VoIP via WiFi Dual Mode

It seems like there is a lot of news regarding seamless mobility between Cell usage and VoIP via WiFi. Do you thing there is a market for a service that switches your cell call to WiFO when you enter a hotspot? There seems to be a lot of issues regarding the transversing between a WiFi network and a cellular network (billing, security, CODECs, QoS etc.). Do you think there really a cost savings here? Sounds like a lot of work for something that might not be that important?

I can see corporations who have large buildings in which cell coverage is poor to want something like this but it cant be done without the cell providers? Why wouldn't the cell company just add a new cell tower to service the large campus as opposed to developing a complicated hand off between its cell network to a company's WLAN?

I hear a lot of people say they have bad cell coverage in there house, and that is why dual mode is important, why not have your cell calls forwarded to your home (when you are home).

It really seems like this a hyped up? Your thoughts?

Best regards! Chris
