Need some ideas. Have a customer with a requirement to monitor/ record calls on POTS lines. Not more than 20 lines. Would like a default to start recording when the line goes of hook. Or when commanded. Controlable on a network with monitor/recording on a PC. Multiple lines at once.

The big voicmail/answering equipment companies have exactly this kind of stuff. Usually built around various Dialogic boards.
Look for the folks that sell to the stock/commodities brokerage industry.
"Octel" is one name that comes to mind.
